The Kentucky Concrete Association is pleased to announce that the annual KCA William T. Robertson High School Essay Scholarship Contest is open and accepting essay submissions.
The William T. Robertson High School Essay Scholarship Contest is open to all Kentucky resident High School Seniors. The contest winner will be awarded a $2,000 scholarship to be paid to the college of their choice in their freshman year. The winner will also be invited to attend the KCA Winter Convention in Lexington, KY in February 2022 to accept the award.
This year's essay prompt is:
It's the turn of the 21st Century... how is the resilience and durability of concrete contributing to your local community or the world?
The essay submission process is the same as last year whereby paper submissions will not be accepted. All essays must be submitted online via the link that is included below.

The essay rules are as follows:
- Student must be a current senior in high school graduating in the 2021 – 2022 school year.
- Essays must address the essay prompt directly.
- Essays must be written by a single student and shall not be collaborative in nature.
- Essays must be submitted using the online submission form.
- Essays must be received by December 3, 2021 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time.
- Essays must be limited to 600 words.
