1) A high school senior intending to go to college
2) From an immediate family (parents, guardians, siblings) who has not earned a college degree
3) Have obtained an ACT reading score of at least 20 as a junior or senior
KSBA First Degree CTE Scholarship
Eligibility:1) Be a sophomore, junior or senior at the time of nomination.
2) Come from an immediate family whose members (parents, guardians, siblings) have not
previously earned a postsecondary degree.
3) Have obtained a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.5* for the most recent grading period
prior to nomination. (*based on a 4.0 scale)
4) Be enrolled in a CTE program at his/her high school, local CTE center or state-operated Area
Technology Center.
5) Be eligible to take assessment for CTE Industry Certification during the first six months of the
2022 calendar year (January – June).
