To be eligible, applicant must:

• Be the child of a Kentucky Farm Bureau member and remain such while the scholarship is in force
• Finish high school within the year they apply for the scholarship
• For the Leadership in Agriculture Scholarship, applicant's parents must be actively engaged in production ag

 Louis Stout Memorial Scholarship

Two grants, each in the amount of a one-time scholarship of $2,000 payable to an institution of higher learning, will be awarded to 2022-2023 seniors. The scholarship is not renewable and is not endowed for expansion. Minimum criteria is a 3.5 (converted to 4.0 scale) grade point average; involvement in varsity sports or sport-activities; involvement in other school activities and a record of community service/involvement. Applicants with a knowledge of Mr. Stout and his accomplishments will be noted.

Independence Bank is proud to play a small part in the journey of our community’s next generation of leaders and contributors. With over $1.5 million given to high school seniors, our scholarship recipients can be found advancing agriculture business, devoting their talents to the healthcare industry, starting their own small business and everything in between.

Applicants must:

be a high school senior

lives or attends school in one of the following counties: Calloway, Daviess, Fayette, Franklin, Graves, Hancock, Henderson, Hopkins, Jefferson, Logan, McCracken, McLean, Shelby, Warren, Webster

The deadline to apply is Monday, February 13th at 5:00 p.m., CST. Please have the following documents ready prior to submitting form: transcript, typed essay and financial need statement.
