The Community Foundation of West Kentucky is accepting applications for the Grimmer-Weitzel Memorial Scholarship for Women in Medicine Scholarship. Online applications are due on Friday, March 29th.

Eligibility: The female student must live in the First Region, have a 3.5 GPA, and be able to present a written essay on why she wants to enter the medical profession. Students with a financial need are encouraged to apply.
Mrs. Weitzel was a proponent of education, as a professor, serving as a Department Chair and as an attorney for the Florida State Child Support Environment. Mrs. Weitzel was the first female to receive an MBA at the University of Kentucky.
The scholarship is approximately $1500.00.
