Since 1988, the Bluegrass Indo-American Civic Society (BIACS) has awarded more than $450,000 in scholarships to college-bound, graduating high school seniors from Commonwealth of Kentucky. The BIACS Scholarship program started with a single $1000 scholarship in 1988 and has grown manifold since then with 29 scholarships awarded in 2025.
Cash awards ($1000-$3000) are presented to deserving students at the Annual BIACS Awards Banquet conducted in Lexington, KY. Both merit and need-based scholarships are awarded. For 2026, we are also happy to share that a scholarship has been set up for students planning to attend a community college.
Scholarship Applications will be accepted electronically through February 28, 2026
