The America Leion Auxiliary will award two $500 scholarships to two graduating high school students, any Marshall County School. Applicants must complete the following criteria:
- the qualifying student must be a relative of a veteran
- the student must be in good standing academically and graduating in the 2026 school year. Home schooled students are eligible
- the student must be planning to attend a two-or four-year institution or vocational school
- the student must include a 250-500 word essay about themselves, including their goals and ambitions
- the student must include a 250-500 word essay from one of the subjects listed below:
- A: What is a veteran and what role have veterans played in our freedom?
- B: In your opinion, what is a Hero? Should our veterans be considered Heroes and Why?
- the student must include 2 letters of reference from a teacher, school official, civic leader, or clergy
Applications must be postmarked no later than 11:59 PM on Tuesday, March 31, 2026
Applications will not be accepted after that date. Hand delivered applications will not be accepted
